What is HALO?

The HALO laser by Sciton is an excellent procedure to restore your skin’s youthful glow. HALO laser skin rejuvenation can treat sun damage, fine lines, and wrinkles. Previous lasers either couldn’t effectively repair this damage because the treatment wasn’t at the appropriate depth, or required excessive recovery time. HALO eliminates years of damage by precisely targeting the proper depth for your skin while balancing benefits and recovery better than any other treatment.

What Does HALO Treat?

HALO safely and effectively treats the following conditions: discoloration, sun damage, visible signs of aging, uneven skin tone, enlarged pores, and poor texture.

Combining My HALO with Other Procedures

Skin concerns do not always occur at the same depth or respond optimally to the same technology. Depending on your complexion, degree of damage, and goals, HALO may be incorporated into a broader skin rejuvenation strategy using complementary Sciton laser technologies. Dr. Soto or an experienced provider can recommend whether treatments should be combined, alternated, or performed separately.

HALO TRIBRID expands upon hybrid fractional resurfacing by incorporating three wavelengths into a single customizable treatment. This allows you to target multiple skin concerns and depths in one session. Depending on your needs, HALO TRIBRID may be recommended when you want more comprehensive resurfacing and correction.

Who Are the Best Candidates for HALO?

HALO may be appropriate for adults who want more substantial skin rejuvenation than basic skincare can provide without undergoing surgery. Since laser treatment must be selected and adjusted according to the individual patient, your skin type, concerns, medical history, and expectations will all be considered before treatment.

  • You have visible sun damage or discoloration: HALO can target pigmentation and uneven tone caused by accumulated environmental and sun exposure.
  • You are bothered by textural changes: Enlarged pores, roughness, and uneven skin texture may respond well to fractional resurfacing.
  • You want to address early signs of aging: Treatment can improve fine lines and other visible changes in skin quality without surgery.
  • You understand the healing process: Good candidates are prepared for temporary redness, swelling, peeling, and other expected changes as the skin renews itself after treatment.

What Are the Benefits of HALO?

HALO is a hybrid fractional laser, meaning it combines ablative and non-ablative wavelengths within the same treatment. This allows the provider to address concerns at different skin depths while adjusting treatment intensity to the patient’s needs and desired recovery. As the skin heals, the treatment also stimulates natural renewal processes that contribute to continued improvement.

  • Improve tone and discoloration: Target visible sun damage, uneven pigmentation, and other irregularities that can make the complexion appear less uniform.
  • Smooth uneven texture: Improve roughness, enlarged pores, and other textural concerns for softer, more refined-looking skin.
  • Reduce visible signs of aging: Soften the appearance of fine lines and accumulated skin damage for a fresher, more youthful look.
  • Customize the treatment intensity: HALO can be adjusted according to your skin concerns, treatment goals, and desired balance between correction and downtime.

How to Begin Your HALO Journey

The right laser treatment depends on both the concerns you want to improve and your skin’s characteristics. Your first visit here in Orlando is an opportunity to determine whether HALO offers the right balance of resurfacing and recovery for you, or whether another treatment may better suit your goals.

  • Identify your primary concerns: Discuss discoloration, sun damage, fine lines, enlarged pores, uneven tone, texture, or other changes you would like to improve.
  • Have your skin evaluated: Dr. Soto or an experienced provider can assess your skin type, condition, treatment history, and areas of concern.
  • Discuss treatment intensity: Your HALO settings can be adjusted based on the level of correction desired and the downtime appropriate for you.
  • Plan your treatment and aftercare: You will receive instructions for preparing your skin, caring for it afterward, and protecting the treated areas as they heal.

Your HALO Procedure

The HALO laser uses Dynamic Thermal Optimization (DTO) technology. This technology constantly checks the skin’s temperature and makes adjustments during treatment to provide optimal results. This makes the treatments more effective for each patient and provides a higher level of safety. HALO is performed by our skilled nurse practitioner or by Dr. Soto under local anesthesia with nitrous oxide (laughing gas).

HALO Recovery & Results

Your Guide to Post-HALO Care

The typical downtime for this procedure is about 2 to 3 days. Keep in mind, however, that every patient will react differently. You may experience minor skin redness and peeling, but you can wear makeup to cover it. After 3 to 4 days, your skin will peel and reveal a new youthful glow!

How Much Does HALO Cost in Orlando?

The cost of HALO in Orlando varies according to the size and number of areas treated, the intensity of the procedure, and the number of sessions recommended to achieve your goals. Your treatment plan may also incorporate other technologies depending on the concerns being addressed. After evaluating your skin and discussing the results you would like to achieve, Dr. Soto or an experienced provider can recommend an appropriate treatment plan and provide personalized pricing.
