Plastic Surgery Social Media Intern

We are looking to hire a creative and strategic Social Media Intern to be part of our highly reputable, well-established and very busy plastic surgery practice in Orlando, Florida.

The social media intern will work closely with the Marketing Director to create engaging content for Dr. Armando Soto’s social media presence, including keeping social media channels updated and brand-focused, and seeking out new social media avenues and ways of connecting with audiences.

To be successful as a social media intern, you must have excellent time management skills. A good social media assistant is eager to keep abreast of industry innovations and new trends.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages company social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant platforms
  • Proposes new ideas and concepts for social media content
  • Creates dynamic written, graphic, and video content that promotes audience interaction, increases audience presence on company sites, and encourages audience participation
  • Optimizes content following the appropriate social media algorithm
  • Assists Marketing Director with large projects, events, etc. as needed
  • Proof reads and edits email campaigns
  • Manages social media communications
  • Uses timelines and scheduled content to create a consistent stream of new content for audience interaction while analyzing, managing, and altering schedules where necessary to optimize visits
  • Use analytics tools to gauge the success of marketing efforts
  • Work as a team to assist with other administrative office duties as needed

Education, Abilities and Knowledge

  • Actively pursing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • Prior experience in marketing or social media preferred but not required
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram
  • Should be creative and a team player
  • Knowledge of photo and video editing programs
  • Knowledge of scheduling/analytics-related tools
  • Should have a creative mind for continual flow of great ideas and strategies for content
  • Innovative and passionate about digital and social media
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills
  • Excelling writing skills to proceed creative copy
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proficient in English (oral and written)
